Comments: Upper Antelope Canyon, Page, Arizona. Upper Antelope is the most visited of the slot canyons of northern Arizona. It is easy to get into and has a flat sandy bottom. The chocolate, peach, and red colored sandstone walls rise about 110 feet overhead and are carved in smooth yet intricate forms by water erosion. This view straight up shows the play of light as it is reflected and diffused within the canyon with deep violets and reds giving way to pink, orange, and finally yellow near the top.
